A lot number is displayed on all of our product labels. The lot number indicates the date that the product was manufactured.
Shelf life: time of manufacture - until it’s unsuitable to use or sell.
How to tell if it's no longer suitable? If it smells rancid, the plant oils/butters have oxidized and no longer healthy for application.
PAO or Period After Opening: time of package opening - until it should be discarded by the consumer.
Each time you use a product, bacteria is introduced and begins to proliferate. To continue using a product after the PAO can be harmful for your skin and eyes.
